Allow the historical route to empower you.
Walking, I am listening to a deeper way.
Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me.
Be still, they say. Watch and listen.
– Linda Hogan.
Copying the words of Joyce Rupp:
It is a journey filled with spiritual connectedness and communal resonance. One aspect that attracted me was the spiritual energy I thought the old route held because of the many people who walked it before me.
Not only is the spirit of the one who is honored present. The good intentions and prayers of untold pilgrims add to the source of energy found there. The road holds many kinds of ancestral power.
In this journey, we became pilgrims seeking the unity of the spirits of our common ancestors. And we did. We “let the Spirits guide us.” Love how these same set of words keep popping up now and again. Thanks to Ms. A for this bit of wisdom.
In this journey, you’ll see faces of Liao Cheng Se and Liao Kim Hio radiate with gladness.
In this journey, they’ve come full circle.
In this journey, we’ve come full circle.
At its heart, the journey of each life
Is a pilgrimage,
Through the unforseen sacred places
That enlarge and enrich the soul.
– John O’Donohue
And my Soul is richer.
My heart fuller.
